The Tohon Convention
toward Oyasama’s 120th Anniversary was Held
on March 17, 2002
commemorating the 80th memorial anniversary of Rev. Nakagawa Yoshi,the foundress of Tohon Grand Church.
location: Honjo 1-chome, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, JAPAN
The convention began at 11:00 in the morning on March 17, 2002.
It was a fine day. The followers came from both domestic area and overseas (U.S.A., Brazil) respecting the late Rev. Nakagawa Yoshi and the participants reached over 6,500.
Main Program; 1) Service , 2) Lecture by Rev. Matsumura Yoshiji, head minister of Tenrikyo Takayasu Grand Church, 3) Declaration of our mind to work for the Path?by the head minister, 4) Sing “Yorozuyo” all together, 5. A word of thanks?the head minister, 6. Worship God the Parent, Oyasama and Ancestors.
Main Program was over at 1:30 in the afternoon. After that, the entertainments were offered by Tohon fife and drum band, Tohon baton twirling team and Tohon Gagaku section.
