5th Head Minister's Message
Today due to God the Parent's Divine Protection, I am overjoyed to celebrate
the 110th Anniversary and the Installtion of the Fifth Head Minister of
Tohon Grand Church in the presence of the Shinbashira and his wife.
On September 26, I received the Truth from the everliving Oyasama to
succeed the 4th Head Minister and become the 5th Head Minister. I am truly
thankful.
I am truly grateful that you are able to attend even with your busy schedules.
The First Head Minister and former head ministers to originally paved
Tohon's 110 Year Path. It is due to the sincerity and perseverence of many
of our predecessors, we are able to travel on this Path.
With this in heart, and with Tohon's First Head Minister's admiration
for Oyasama as my foundation, I pledge whole heartedly to serve you to
my utmost as a Yoboku, single-hearted with the Jiba and the devoted to
single-hearted salvation.
Although I am inexperienced, I earnestly request for the same level of
support you have provide the 4th Head Minister. With this I will conclude
my greeting. Thank you very much.

4th Head Minister's Message
Today I am overjoyed to celebrate the Tohon Grand Church's 110th Anniversary
and the Inatalltion of the Fifth Head Minister.
On Jul,y 1973, I received the Truth to beocome the 4th Head Minister
after the rebirth of the 3rd Head Minister. For the past 35 years, I have
served to lead a live one step closer to the intentions of God the Parent.
This September I was able to retire from my duties as the Head Minister.
As I reflect upon my tenure, I wholeheartedly believe it was due to the
Divine Protection and the warm Parental Love of God the Parent and Oyasama,
in addition to undoubtedly the guidance of the former Shinbashira and Curch
Headquarters that I was able to serve in my capacities of Head Minister.
Moreover, I am truly grateful for the sincerity and the kindhearted support
of so many. Thank you veru much.
This year commemorates Tohon's 110th Anniversary, the Path the First
Head Minister paved on to us to travel.
We have been blessed by God the Parent and Oyasama's Divine Protection.
In the future, the New Head Minister and I will determined to repay God
the Parent and Oyasama for blessings and to align ourself single-heartedly
in accordance with the intentions of the Shinbashira, His wife, and the
former Shinbashira.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the guidance you have provided
me during my tenure. I ask for your continuing support for the 5th Head
Minister. Thank you very much.

Information
A booklet titled "The 110th Anniversary of the Foundation and The Installtion Service of 5th Head Minister" will be distributed as a memento to each person who is present at the commemoration and the service. It is a small book that includes the messages of the 5th (new) head minister Rev. ZenshichiNakagawa and the 4th (former) head minister Rev. Umeko Nakagawa and the history of Tohon Grand Church, and also introduce the Shutoku Gaku-en school and the Rokuto-en social welfare corporation.Back | Back to the Top | Next

| 1887 | Feb. | Yoshi (17) married Yakichi (32). |
| 1888 | Nov. 1 | Kurakichi Nakagawa, the 2nd head minister of Tohon, was born first son of the Nakagawas. |
| 1890 | Yoshi began to follow the path. | |
| 1893 | Jul. 19 | Yoshi was bestowed the truth of the Sazuke. |
| 1897 | Nov. 27 | Yoshi arrived at Shinbashi, Tokyo. Her second missionary work in Tokyo |
| 1898 | Oct. 1 | Tohon Fukyosho (fellowship) was founded. |
| 1911 | Jan. 27 | Yoshi was chosen as a lecturer, representative of Takayasu Grand Church,
at the first convention of Tenrikyo Women's Association. The famous "15-second speech" by Yoshi lives in history. |
